Luis del Valle vs. Christopher Martin, Thomas Oosthuizen vs. Maxim Vlasov & Jose Pedraza on Shobox April 27th

The Shobox card on April 27th looks to be a stacked triple header that fight fans will want to mark down on their calendars. The card will open up with super prospect Jose Pedraza, then feature a clash between Luis del Valle and Christopher, and a very intriguing light heavyweight match-up between Thomas Oosthuizen and Maxim Vlasov.

As part of the acclaimed series of boxing events “ShoBox: The New Generation” transmitted through SHOWTIME, Dibella Entertainment will be featuring two of it’s best fighters from “Team Puerto Rico” on Friday, April 27, 2012, in Oklahoma, USA.

2010 Central American and Caribbean Games gold medalist and current WBC Superfeatherweight World Champion, José “Sniper” Pedraza ( 7-0, 6 KO’s ) will be opening the event with a bout set for 8 rounds against an opponent which is yet to be announced.

“My training is going great. We are ready for any challenge and the fans can expect a great fight”, said Pedraza, who trains in his hometown of Cidra, PR.

Co-featuring the event will be Luis “Orlandito” del Valle ( 15-0, 11 KO’s ), who will be going against Christopher Martin ( 23-1-3, 6 KO’s ) in a 10 round fight at the Super bantamweight division.

Del Valle, who at the Featherweight division was ranked #4 by the WBA and #8 by the WBO, said about his opponent: “He won against Arco and Avalos, and the only fight he’s lost was very close. But with me there won’t be any excuses, I’ll be sure to win either by going the distance or by knock out.”

The boxing card, which will be held at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma, will feature as it’s main event a fight between current IBO Middleweight Champion Thomas Oosthuizen ( 18-0, 13 KO’s ) and Maxim Vlasov ( 23-1, 12 KO’s )

Pedraza and Del Valle are members of “Team Puerto Rico”, a collaboration between Gary Shaw Productions, Dibella Entertainment and Universal Promotions made with the goal of gathering the best of Puerto Rico’s boxing talents.
