Mayer vs Cameron preview: Mikaela Mayer looks to unify the super welterweight division when she faces Chantelle Cameron in Birmingham on Saturday. Caroline Dubois vs Amelia Moore is the chief support.

Mayer puts her WBA and WBC titles on the line against WBO champion, Cameron at the Bp Pulse LIVE Arena. The fight airs live on Sky Sports in the UK and alternatively in the USA on ESPN+.

Mayer fights in the UK for the fifth time as a professional, but the 36-year-old has endured mixed results.

Alycia Baumgardner ripped away her super featherweight world titles at the O2 Arena in 2022. Following two low-key wins, Natasha Jonas beat her in a bid for the IBF welterweight crown in 2024.

However, Mayer bounced back. She secured the WBO welterweight title with two victories over grudge rival, Sandy Ryan before becoming a three-weight world champion in October by beating Mary Spencer to become WBC and WBO super welterweight titlist.

Meanwhile, Cameron makes the first defence of the WBO crown she won after Mayer vacated the belt earlier this year.

The Brit has won four on the spin since Katie Taylor pipped her in a majority decision victory in their rematch.

Prediction: This is a very close fight to pick. Both are excellent boxers, but Cameron may just have enough to edge out a decision.

Dubois vs Moore

In the chief support of Mayer vs Cameron, Caroline Dubois defends her unified WBC and WBO lightweight world titles against Amelia Moore.

Dubois added Terri Harper’s WBO crown to her WBC belt with a dominant points victory in April. The 25-year-old has since left long-time trainer Shane McGuigan and joined Manny Robles.

Meanwhile, Moore challenges for a maiden world title in just her fourth professional fight.

Prediction: Dubois’ experience should prove crucial. She can prevail with a points win.

Mayer vs Cameron Preview – Remaining Undercard

Elsewhere, Reina Tellez suffered a first professional defeat to Amanda Serrano in her last outing in January. She should get back to winning ways with a decision win over Jessica Barry.

The aforementioned Terri Harper should also get back in the win column by outpointing Miranda Reyes.

Tysie Gallagher opens the main card, but the super bantamweight may be upset by unbeaten American, Brandi Robinson.

Shannon Courtenay continues her resurgence and is likely to overcome Ebonie Cotton on points, while India’s Neeraj Goyat can do the same against Yessin Koulali.

Commonwealth Silver medalist, Gemma Paige Richardson can maintain her unbeaten start to her professional career by beating the tough Kirstie Bavington by decision. Meanwhile, Hamza Uddin should be able to stop Jemsi Kibazange.

Rounding off the Mayer vs Cameron preview, Brandon Bethell can outpoint Jorge Luis Huerta Balleza. He hasn’t been halted in 20 defeats.
