In a press conference to be held tomorrow afternoon it will be officially announced that Erik Morales will be facing Lucas Matthysse as a part of the Star Power: Floyd Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz HBO PPV. The Morales vs. Matthysse bout will be for the vacant WBC junior welterweight title.

The title was formerly held by Timothy Bradley, and was stripped from him essentially for no reason besides giving Mexican legend Morales a shot at a title in another weight class. The fight will take place from Las Vegas, the site of Mayweather-Ortiz, and will be on the televised PPV. However, the Saul Alvarez vs. Alfonso Gomez match will still take place at the separate site of Los Angeles, while also being televised on the PPV.

Additionally, another bout is being added to the Star Power PPV. Hot prospect Jessie Vargas will be taking a step up in class when he meets recent-prospect-stopper Josesito Lopez, who is coming off a win over Mike Dallas Jr.

Tune in for more details from the official announcement tomorrow, and keep on checking out ProBoxing-Fans.com for the latest breaking boxing news coverage.
