Jake Paul has once again added fuel to the fire for a match-up between himself and Canelo Alvarez.

Paul has called to fight Canelo over the last few years and reaffirmed this goal in a recent press conference.

Alvarez was last in action just last month where he lost on the scorecards to Terence Crawford.

Canelo’s future remains unknown but with two fights left on his Riyadh Season contract retirement seems unlikely.

Paul, 28, continues to make headlines, most recently for his upcoming exhibition announced with lightweight world champion, Gervonta Davis.

Davis is set to fight a man that weighed in 66lbs bigger than him in their last two weigh ins.

In their launch press conference for their clash on November 14th Paul was asked if he was still interested in fighting Canelo down the line.

“Yeah 100%, you know that’s another one of the biggest fights that can be made in boxing and after I beat this guy [Davis].

“Canelo’s on the list for sure.”

Canelo and Paul were linked to a fight earlier this year, this was until the Mexican signed a four-fight deal with Turki Alalshikh and Riyadh Season.

The former undisputed super middleweight champion slammed ‘The Problem Child’ in a post uploaded to The Ring Magazine’s X account.

Paul is now preparing for his next clash which in their press conference he claimed ’Tank’ will be his toughest to date.

“This is definitely the toughest test,” he said.

“This is a top 10 pound-for-pound fighter.”

His opponent ‘Tank’ has received a lot of criticism for facing the former YouTuber-turned-boxer including from long-term rival Shakur Stevenson, who many of the boxing world would rather see him face.

Stevenson spoke to Ring Champs with Ak and Barak where he conceded the fight between the pair may never happen.

“I came to terms with accepting that the fight may not ever happen,” the 28-year-old said.

“It is what it is.

“Not even just the Jake Paul fight.

“He don’t want it like me, I really want this s***.”

For Canelo his future is uncertain after signing the four fight deal with Riyadh Season a return is expected but his opponents are uncertain.

Alongside Canelo, Paul has called for many other names at the top of boxing including two-time heavyweight world champion, Anthony Joshua in a fight that looked like it would be next, but fell through as a result of broadcasting disagreements.
