Serrano (50-4-1, 32 KOs) came into this one having won two fights. Her only recent loss was a thriller to Katie Taylor in New York last July in their trilogy meeting. She was looking to break Christy Martin’s knockout record, meanwhile Argentina’s Manzur (14-5, 7 KOs) was unheralded, and challenging for world honours for the first time.
The first three rounds of this one were closely fought, and Manzur was growing in confidence with every passing session. The Argentine couldn’t miss with her right hand.
The visitor piled on the pressure in the fourth, and although both were landing, it was Manzur that was getting the better of the action. At this stage, the Serrano vs Manzur result looked to be heading the challenger’s way.
Serrano went to the body in the sixth, and she began to use her experience. Combination punches were landing in round seven, meanwhile flush shots found the mark a round later.

Flores decked Mortensen (10-0, 5 KOs) in the second round, but two tallies of 95-94 won her the title, against one same score in Flores’ favour.
Avious Griffin (20-1, 19 KOs) forced Jackson Marinez (23-5, 11 KOs) to retire after five rounds of their welterweight clash.
Elsewhere on the Serrano vs Manzur results card, Iyana Verduzco (8-0, 1 KO) took a split decision win at featherweight. She defeated Miguelina Hernandez (4-1, 3 KOs). Brook Sibrian (10-3, 4 KOs) took the unbeaten record of Lupita Medina (12-1, 3 KOs). It was a clear points win at minimumweight.

Albina Moldanhanova (5-0, 5 KOs) halted Sheila Fabiana Liesegang (6-1, 4 KOs) at super lightweight. The stoppage came inside a round. Meanwhile, heavyweight novice Nelvie Tiafack (5-0, 4 KOs) stopped Salvador Zavala Molina (7-1, 5 KOs) in three.
Jocelyn Camarillo (7-0, 1 KO) took a points win over Ashley Felix (7-5, 1 KO) at minimumweight, meanwhile Jahmal Harvey (4-0, 3 KOs) was a second-round winner against Hammet Kowany Keb del Valle (7-3-1, 6 KOs) at lightweight.
At super lightweight, Paolo Barredo (7-0, 2 KOs) won on the cards. His opponent was Jorge Elias Garcia Manrriquez (3-2, 3 KOs).
Rounding off the Serrano vs Manzur results, Keno Marley (3-0, 2 KOs) knocked out Braylan Brooks (1-1, 1 KO) in three at cruiserweight. Finally, Cinderella Linnear (2-0) took a split decision at super lightweight against Jully Poca (1-1).
