Turhan vs Baumgardner preview: Alycia Baumgardner attempts to become a two-division world champion when she challenges IBF lightweight titlist, Elif Turhan in Texas on Sunday. Check out the Turhan vs Baumgardner prediction below.

Turhan battles Baumgardner at the College Park Center in Arlington. Fans can watch the fight on Sky Sports in the UK. Meanwhile, it is available to watch on ESPN+ in the USA.

A victory over Baumgardner would be the third defence of Turhan’s title. In fact, the unbeaten Turk retained her title for a second time with a unanimous decision win over Gabriela Tellez in June.

On the other hand, Baumgardner is the challenger heading into the contest. The American holds three of the four belts at 130 pounds. Despite the lure of an undisputed fight, the 32-year-old heads in the direction of bitter rival Caroline Dubois.

Dubois holds the WBC and WBO lightweight titles and a win for Baumgardner could set up a mouthwatering unification.

‘The Bomb’ was last in action in April where she outpointed Bo Mi Re Shin.

Turhan vs Baumgardner prediction: Turhan is one of the biggest punchers in female boxing. However, she has her flaws defensively. I feel Baumgardner can take advantage of these and become the new champion by decision.

Ali and Nicolson in world title fights

In the second world title fight on the Turhan vs Baumgardner card, Ramla Ali and Mikiah Kreps clash for the vacant IBF and WBO super bantamweight world titles.

Ali has won three of her last five bouts. Meanwhile, Kreps is undefeated in 11 professional fights.

Prediction: Kreps should be able to squeeze out a decision win.

Elsewhere, Skye Nicolson makes a first defence of her WBC super bantamweight world title against former two-weight world champion, Miyo Yoshida.

Nicolson was elevated to full WBC champion in May following Ellie Scotney’s decision to relinquish her title.

Prediction: Nicolson can secure a dominant decision victory.

Turhan vs Baumgardner Preview – Remaining Undercard

In the final world title fight on the bill, Irma Garcia can retain her IBF super flyweight title with a points win over Nataly Delgado.

Big-punching Russian southpaw, Albina Moldazhanova can make it six straight wins by stoppage against the tough Kirstie Bavington in their super lightweight meeting. Meanwhile, Shera Mae Patricio can capture the WBA ‘regular’ bantamweight title with a points win over Brittany Sims.

Natalie Dove should also win by decision against Nayeli Rodriguez in their flyweight clash. While, Fernando Garcia may be able to do the same against Alexander Castellano at featherweight.

Rounding off the Turhan vs Baumgardner preview, Jocelyn Camarillo should see off Nazarena Serra over the distance at minimumweight. Welterweight prospect, Javier Guerrero Cruz should stop Aiden Anderson.
