Tyson Fury vs. Denis Boytsov off

The rumored battle between the British Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KOs) and the unbeaten heavyweight Denis Boytsov (31-0, 25 KOs) will not take place. The CEO of Universurm is apparently really disappointed, however, is acting in the best interests of his own fighter. “It’s really a shame because it would have been a great fight. Two undefeated heavyweight hopes in a direct duel. Unfortunately, Denis is not in the shape to contest such an duel now. The bout could be placed in 2013,” says Kluch.

The CEO would necessarily realize the worthiness of the bout, but of course, he has to act in the interests of the athlete and paying attention to his situation. Therefore the bout is off.

ProBoxing-Fans.com has Tyson Fury ranked at number 7 in our heavyweight division rankings, and Boytsov unranked, on the outside looking in but on the cusp of the top 10. A Fury vs. Boystov fight would have been a great test for each fighter, and the winner would have emerged in very good position amongst the rest of the unbeatens and untesteds out there. But maybe we’ll see the fight next year, or see each man step up in separate fights.
