George Kambosos Jr may already have another challenge on the horizon.
Kambosos Jr was stopped in the eighth round against IBF super lightweight world champion, Richardson Hitchins at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday.
The Australian has won just two of his last six bouts, although has lost in elite company, twice to Devin Haney as well as to the recently retired Vasiliy Lomachenko.
However, the 32-year-old has developed a big following and remains an enticing option for many up-and-coming contenders.
Rising British prospect, Adam Azim is the latest fighter to throw his name into the hat to face the Sydney man, calling for a September fight.

Replying to a post from Boxing Scene on X, questioning who Kambosos should face next, Azim replied: “@georgekambosos let’s get it on – Sept 25.”
The highly-rated 22-year-old has won his first 13 professional bouts, with 10 of those coming inside the distance.
‘The Assassin’ has not fought since dispatching of former world champion, Sergey Lipinets in the ninth round in February.

The Slough man, who holds top 15 rankings in both the WBC and WBA, was supposed to have fought earlier this month in Barnsley on the undercard of Callum Simpson’s win over Ivan Zucco, but his scheduled fight with Eliot Chavez was cancelled by the British Boxing Board of Control after the Mexican used a sauna to make weight.
Kambosos refused to be drawn on his future following defeat to Hitchins.

“I don’t really know right now [what’s next],” he said during his post-fight press conference.
“For me I’ve done so much in the sport.
