Salido vs. Cruz is an intriguing fight, for more than the fact that they happen to both be named “Orlando”, and for more than the fact that Cruz had made a splash by coming out while he’s an active fighter near the top of the sport. Salido has proven himself time and time again to be one of the toughest customers in the business, and while he’s coming off a crushing defeat to Mikey Garcia, that doesn’t necessarily change that fact. Plus, Cruz is very much unproven on this level, while Salido has been here for quite some time.
