This weekend on the undercard of the Timothy Bradley vs. Juan Manuel Marquez PPV bout on HBO, Orlando Cruz challenges Orlando Salido with a vacant featherweight title up for grabs. In this video interview, you’ll here from Cruz as he talks about the fight and this opportunity, as well as his goal of becoming the first openly gay world boxing champion. Plus, we have a photo gallery of shots from recent fighter workouts involving Cruz and Salido, and others as well. Take a look.

In addition, we also have some photos for you from a recent media day for the undercard fighters, highlighted by Cruz and his opponent Orlando Salido, as well as pro-turning Olympic great Vasyl Lomachenko of Ukraine. Check out all of the photos from those guys below:

Salido vs. Cruz is an intriguing fight, for more than the fact that they happen to both be named “Orlando”, and for more than the fact that Cruz had made a splash by coming out while he’s an active fighter near the top of the sport. Salido has proven himself time and time again to be one of the toughest customers in the business, and while he’s coming off a crushing defeat to Mikey Garcia, that doesn’t necessarily change that fact. Plus, Cruz is very much unproven on this level, while Salido has been here for quite some time.

Enjoy all of the photos from the fighter workouts, as well as the video interview with Orlando Cruz as he talks about his goal of becoming the first openly gay boxing champion.
