Dillian Whyte has revealed his prediction for the hotly anticipated December 21 rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury.

Fury – who knocked Whyte out at Wembley Stadium back in 2022 – will attempt to avenge his sole career defeat in just 11 days time, after losing out to Usyk via split decision earlier this year.

Despite losing out on the night, ‘The Gypsy King’ enjoyed plenty of success and many are struggling to pick a winner in his second battle with the masterful Ukrainian.

There is a view amongst certain pundits that Fury needs to be more aggressive and get on the front foot if he is to emerge victorious.

Speaking to Boxing Social, Whyte revealed this is a view he shares, imploring the Morecambe man to revert to the gameplan that saw him destroy Deontay Wilder in their rematch.

“It’s a great fight man, I keep trying to think – how’s this fight going to go?

“Okay, Fury can make adjustments, but Usyk can also make adjustments. It’s a tough fight man, a very, very tough fight for both men.

“If I was Fury’s coach, I’d tell him he needs to be aggressive.

“Fight him like you fought Wilder the second time.

“Bring back the aggression, bring back the bully!

“This is heavyweight boxing – you never know.”

It remains unclear whether or not Fury will heed the advice of Whyte and others in the boxing world who have advised him to bring the fight to Usyk, however he does look notably heavier than he did in the lead up to the first bout.

Win or lose, a long-awaited domestic dust-up with Anthony Joshua could lay in waiting for the 36-year-old, despite ‘AJ’s stoppage defeat to Daniel Dubois in September.

Despite perhaps not being the spectacle it once could have been, a showdown between Joshua and Fury would still be by far and away the biggest all-British fight in recent memory.

As for Whyte, he returns to the ring this Sunday night, taking on Ghanian heavyweight Ebenezer Tetteh in Gibraltar live on DAZN.
