3 Final Pacquiao vs. Marquez Questions

We all know the history and the track-record. But there are plenty of questions we still have to wonder about before we see the fight play out.

  • 3... How will Marquez's body react to being at 144 lbs this time out? He has a new strength and conditioning regimen as compared to his last time out at welterweight, and he looks to be stronger than ever. But he looked small and slow last time out at this weight, so will he really have made that huge of an improvement?
  • 2... Will Marquez be able to take a welterweight Manny Pacquiao's best punch? Marquez has been down on the seat of his pants four times against Pacquiao. He's always gotten up, but Pacquiao has fully grown into his new weight classes and surroundings, and he'll have even more force and oomph on his shots than he used to.
  • 1... Is Pacquiao fully focused for his third fight against Marquez? Talk has seemingly already shifted to Pacquiao vs. Mayweather, and it could be hard for him to be 100% focused on the task at hand.

So what does it all mean? Ultimately, Pacquiao has come too far over the past few years in comparison to his rival. Marquez will be in the fight early, but he won't be able to stand in the trenches in a gun fight like he used to be able to do with Pacquiao. Look for Pacquiao to score a 10th round TKO win, with the referee calling off the show, saving a valiant and resistant Marquez who would never willingly refuse to battle on against his rival.

This is not a rubber match – a rubbler match implies that both of them have a win against the other – which is not true. On the contrary Pacquiao would have had 2 wins against Marquez had not 1 judge make a mistake in scoring the 1st round of their first fight. Where it not for this error, Pacquiao would have won 2x against Marquez BY split decision.

Juan Manuel Marquezs’ mastery of the sweet science was not enough to win in either of the first two fights, and with Pacquiao having improved his skill set while not seeming to lose any of his speed and power, it won’t be enough this time either.

I’m an avid manny pacquiao fan & has followed all his fights from the start to the present. In my opinion, marquez is the only fighter that came close to defeating pacquiao. Marquez is the only fighter who blends well with the fighting style of manny pacquiao. Manny knows this that’s why he training hard for this fight. Both fighters has the heart of a warrior but the deciding point here is the physical conditioning & fight strategy during the fight. I score it as even even if other sees it a one sided fight. Again i admit i’m a pacquiao fan but for me this is the greatest challenge for manny pacquiao. I wish him all the best.

  3. Marpedz says:

Juan Manure Marpedz looks bigger than Manny today, he can bring in all his new muscles and peds from his new certified crook conditioning guru but the great Pacman will destroy him for good. Marpedz surely chased this fight and he will have another big payday for whining all his life, what a greedy hog indeed.

“In my opinion, marquez is the only fighter that came close to defeating pacquiao.”

The fact is … Eric Morales defeated Manny Pacquiao on their first encounter … if you’ll ask me, I would say … Morales is better than Marquez … way way better … in victory and even in defeat …

If you really believe in what you say, you can make a bundle by betting for your man, JMM, at odds of 1 to 6, or higher by fight time.

However, as you being a former Pacquiao fan, I would advise you to do otherwise and save your money.
