BoxNation goes HD in 2014

BoxNation has heard the calls of its loyal subscribers – and yet again answered – with the launch of a new dedicated high definition channel, BoxNation Live HD.

The investment in a dedicated HD channel follows BoxNation’s burgeoning success since its launch in 2011, with the channel continuing to go from strength-to-strength.

The ‘Channel of Champions’ is set to debut its HD broadcast early next year, starting with Dereck Chisora’s ring return on Saturday, February 8th, live from the Copper Box Arena.

The Queensberry Promotions bill will be the first of many for the new channel, which will show all live fights in high definition, and will be available to all BoxNation subscribers on the Sky TV platform at no extra cost, providing they are already HD enabled.

BoxNation Managing Director, Jim McMunn, said: “We are delighted to once again deliver for our loyal and dedicated viewers. The channel has grown at a remarkable rate and the obvious next step for us was to invest in an HD channel. Our subscribers had been calling for it, so we are thrilled to be able to offer this service to them. It has been a truly fantastic year for BoxNation which has screened the biggest and best fights both domestically and worldwide. Our HD launch, starting early next year, will ensure the channel continues to flourish, as we look to lineup the best bouts of 2014.”

BoxNation will reveal more details about the high definition launch, and the live and exclusive fights to be added to the schedule, in the New Year.
