Daniel Dubois admits he’d be willing to welcome David Benavidez to the heavyweight division.
Fighting a weight lower than Dubois operates at, Benavidez blitzed Zurdo Ramirez in six rounds to become the unified WBA and WBC cruiserweight world champion.
Saudi Arabian boxing chief, Turki Alalshikh is eager to see ‘The Mexican Monster’ attempt to conquer a fourth weight class by moving up to face unified heavyweight world champion, Oleksandr Usyk.
Former world champion, Dubois who was twice beaten by Usyk, says he’d be open to facing the American.
“I saw the highlights,” the 28-year-old told Fight Hub TV.
“It was a good one.
“You never know.
“He’s done his thing so far.
“Definitely let’s get it going.”
Benavidez is expected to return to light heavyweight where he holds the WBC title to pursue a meeting with unified titlist, Dmitry Bivol.
Dubois bids to become a two-time heavyweight world champion on Saturday when he challenges WBO holder, Fabio Wardley in Manchester.
‘Dynamite’ is coming off the back of a fifth round knockout loss to Usyk in their rematch last July and is the betting underdog to overcome Wardley at the Co-op Live Arena.
The Londoner previously held the IBF heavyweight title, knocking out Anthony Joshua in what remains the standout victory of his career.
Dubois insists a victory over Wardley would be bigger than beating Joshua.
“It’s massive this fight,” he added.
“World title.
“This is everything. This is boxing.
“I’m glad to be here again.
“This will be bigger [than the Joshua fight].

“It’s just how it has come about and that it’s a world title, what this fight will mean to me.

“He’s been doing it right, but his luck will run out when he runs into me.”
