Chris Eubank Jr has signed a promotional deal with Team Sauerland.

Eubank Jr (29-2, 22 KOs) claimed the WBA Interim Middleweight with a second round TKO over Matt Korobov in December 2019, after securing the biggest win of his professional career to date against James De Gale 10 months previous.

The 31-year-old, who linked up with former pound-for-pound star, Roy Jones Jr in Florida says he is targeting the world champions at 160lbs, including IBF titlist Gennady Golovkin and Ryota Murata, who was recently elevated to WBA ‘Super’ champion, following Canelo Alvarez’s decision to vacate the belt.

“I’m thrilled to have signed a promotional deal with Team Sauerland,” Eubank Jr said.

“I look forward to working with such a historic stable that has created so many legends in the sport over so many years. I look forward to the big fights that I crave.

“I’ve spent the last 12 months in the gym and I feel better than ever. I’m ready to take over the Middleweight division.

“I want all the champions – Murata, Charlo, Andrade, Golovkin – put me in the ring with any of them. I only want to fight the best. This is my time.

“If you have a belt, I’m coming for you.”

Eubank Jr worked alongside his new promoters, Nisse and Kalle Sauerland during the Super Middleweight World Boxing Super Series, where he lost out to George Groves in the semi-final.

’Next Gen,’ who has been inactive since beating Korobov, was with Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions until his last fight and Team Sauerland believe their new acquisition can become a global name in the sport.

“We’ve been long time admirers of Chris,” said Nisse Sauerland.

“He fought on one of our shows back in 2012 and we’ve followed his career closely since then.

“He’s got all the attributes needed to establish his position as one of the biggest names in world boxing.

“Our first priority is cleaning out the Middleweight division.”
