Tyson Fury feels his clash with Oleksandr Usyk will be determined by who has more desire on the night.

Fury will finally face Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight championship on May 18 in Saudi Arabia.

Despite having a six inch height advantage and a seven inch edge in reach, ‘The Gypsy King’ believes victory hinges on who has the most hunger.

“It will come down to who wants it most on the night,” Fury told Queensberry’s YouTube channel.

“It won’t come down to, ‘He’s bigger than me or he’s smaller than me.’

“I think it will come down to who wants it most on the night.

“If he wants it more than me, he will win and if I want it more than him, I’ll win, but either way I think we’re in for a real treat.

“I just think that my will and determination will be more than his on the night.”

The pair were supposed to meet on February 17, however WBC champion, Fury withdrew after sustaining a gruesome cut in sparring.

The Manchester man has the opportunity to reclaim the IBF, WBA ’super’ and WBO belts which he won against Usyk’s countryman Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.

Usyk, who won the undisputed championship at cruiserweight, will become only the second man in history to achieve feat at heavyweight behind Evander Holyfield and the first in the four-belt era, should he dethrone Fury.

’The Gypsy King’ admits he is is wary of the threat the undefeated Ukrainian poses and insists he is not overlooking him.

“Usyk is a bad man,” the 35-year-old explained.

“He’s a real bad man and any underestimation of Oleksandr Usyk – you’d be a mug.

“I’m training hard for him, I’m doing everything I can, I respect Usyk as a man.

“I respect his career as well, he’s been Olympic champion, he’s had 350 amateur fights or something, and he’s been an undisputed cruiserweight champion, and he’s a unified heavyweight champion.

“So, you have to respect that.

“I’m not fighting a guy that’s had 14 and won 11, I’m fighting the real deal, as real a deal as Holyfield.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
