Fury and Joshua have appeared on course for a long overdue November showdown. But developments have stalled due to a row over the venue.
The Fury vs Joshua venue dispute shows no signs of resolution. Saudi Arabian organisers and Netflix are pushing for the bout to be staged at Madison Square Garden in New York. However, Hearn insists the contract ‘AJ’ signed states the fight must happen in the UK.
Hearn’s Matchroom sent an addendum to Sela. The Saudi Arabian entertainment authority received outlined changes to the contract should they agree to move it to the USA.
However, as of Wednesday, the Matchroom Chairman claims he has yet to hear back. He’s still waiting on a response about the Fury vs Joshua contract.
“As of now, we expect the fight to take place in the U.K., as per the contract,” the 47-year-old told Boxing Scene.
“No change.”

There is growing concern that the Fury vs Joshua fight may be on the verge of collapse. Fury launched a scathing attack on Joshua and Hearn, arguing the pair are holding up the fight.
Frank Warren confirmed to Pro Boxing Fans on Wednesday that the two-time heavyweight world champion has travelled to Miami to begin training camp.
“Quick update for you. It doesn’t look like they are going to sign the fight and it doesn’t look like it is going to happen all because Eddie Hearn and that want more money,” Fury said in an Instagram video last week.
“They have already had that much money off [Saudi Arabian boxing chief] Turki [Alalshikh] over the last few years Eddie and AJ. They have had boxing deals, they have had darts deals, they have had snooker deals, they have had everything.
“And yet, they have got the audacity and cheek of flea-bitten rats to ask for more money from old Turki that you have had combined over the last couple of years.”
Fury’s comments mark his most direct attack yet amid the ongoing Fury vs AJ latest saga.
Meanwhile, the Fury vs Joshua fight remains unresolved. Hearn told reporters including Pro Boxing Fans on Saturday that he is hoping for a resolution to the row this week.
“This week is probably the deadline for the proposed date.
“I think other people would want to give up. MSG are probably thinking, ‘we’ll book something else.’
“I can’t tell you that [this week is definitely the deadline], because it’s not my show, but yeah I think we’re running out of time.”
