Fury vs Joshua odds: Swift knockout predictions from Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua could encourage fans to lump on an early finish to their heavyweight clash, according to the oddsmakers.

Fury and Joshua will finally meet on December 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

The pair are on course to settle a decade-long rivalry and both men are in confident mood.

Fury has only lost twice in his career, both times to Oleksandr Usyk. Despite both fights going the distance, Joshua says their showdown, which will be for the WBA ‘super’ heavyweight world title, could end in the first round.

“A knockout, if I’m honest with you,” he told Sky Sports.

“Could be in the first round.”

Fury prediction

An equally confident Fury is also envisaging an early night.

The former two-time heavyweight champions traded words and came face-to-face for the first time at a press conference in London last month.

Notably, Fury, who has scored 25 knockout victories compared to Joshua’s 27, also claimed their long-awaited clash will not go the distance.

“I’m going to come out and I’m going to blast him out of there,” he said.

“I ain’t going to run away. I’m not going to box. I’m gonna throw down.

“From what I’m seeing, I’m going to catch him and when I do it’s going to be curtains.”

Ben Head, COO of Bet Goodwin, believes the pair’s bold predictions could sway fans towards backing an early finish

“Fury’s been talking up an early knockout for weeks now, so a quick finish was already on people’s radar,” he said.

“What changed was Joshua saying the same thing. When both fighters tell you it won’t go the distance, fans usually listen.

“The first-round knockout is the one we’ll be watching. If AJ and Fury continue to paint the picture of a short-lived fight, don’t be surprised if more people start to believe those ‘curtains’ remarks and back an early finish.”
