In a move which you would love to say is surprising but couldn’t possibly come as a true surprise to anybody, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. failed to make weight for his clash against Marcos Reyes. Dropping back down to the super middleweight division, after a rude welcoming at light heavyweight courtesy of Andrzej Fonfara, Chavez couldn’t make the limit.

The fight goes on, as Marcos Reyes was clearly plenty happy to take the extra money on top of the already career-high payday and opportunity. Here are the weights and photos for the full card on Showtime.

“Super Middleweight” Main Event – 10 Rounds

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.: 170.8 Pounds

Marcos Reyes: 168.4 Pounds

NOTE: Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. did not make the contracted weight limit and the fighters have agreed to fight Saturday’s bout at the above official weights.
