Micki Nielsen (18-0-0, 12 KOs) faces Alejandro Emilio Valori (17-7, 13 KOs) on September 12 at the Nordic Fight Night at the Arena Nord in Frederikshavn, Denmark.

Nielsen returns after a convincing points victory over the experienced Belgian Ismail Abdoul in Copenhagen last June, but against Valori, the hard-hitting cruiserweight has vowed not to leave the decision in the hands of the judges.

“I am looking forward to getting back in the ring,” said the 22 year-old southpaw.

“I would have liked a knockout victory in my last fight against Abdoul, because he has only ever been stopped once. That did not happen, but a victory is a victory. Against Valori my aim is to get the knockout, and this time, I won’t be satisfied with anything less.

“I’ve not had a break since my last fight and I’m hungry to show that I can achieve something big in my weight class.”

“Micki got a fine points victory over an experienced opponent last time out, but in Frederikshavn, I would like to see him a little more aggressive and try and end the fight early,” said coach Joey Gamache.

”Micki can progress to become a champion one-day. I have no doubts about that. But now it is up to him to show he believes in it himself.

“Valori is a guy who will fight. He is a boxer who wants to prove himself. He will surely come out aggressively too, but Micki must show that he is the better boxer and break this guy down with a lot body shots.”

An opponent has also been confirmed for Rashid Kassem (9-0-0, 6 KOs). The entertaining lightweight has been pitted against Italian Roberto Priore (7-6, 2 KOs). Priore was last in Denmark in 2008, when he suffered a unanimous points defeat to Danish Kasper Bruun.
