Jarrell Miller will return to the ring before the end of the year.

The controversial heavyweight will headline a Matchroom show in Ghana on December 20, sources told proboxing-fans.com.

Jarrell Miller does not have an opponent for his next fight yet, according to sources.

Miller has already fought twice this year, securing decision wins over both Kingsley Ibeh and Lenier Pero in his most recent outing in April.

Matchroom will hold a show in Ghana for the second year running with Jarrell Miller topping the bill. Craig Richards knocked out Dan Azeez in a thunderous final round victory last December.

Eddie Hearn revealed earlier this month he was planning to headline Denzel Bentley in Ghana, before the middleweight world champion signed with Hearn’s rival Zuffa Boxing, opening the door for Jarrell Miller.

Jarrell Miller is closing in on a maiden heavyweight world title shot and a win in Ghana would strengthen his case.

The 38-year-old American is the number one ranked contender with the WBA behind ‘regular’ champion, Murat Gassiev.

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will fight for the vacant WBA ‘super’ heavyweight world title on December 11 in Cardiff.

Next fight

Before heading to Ghana, Jarrell Miller is currently training alongside Fury in Miami, as the latter gears up for his long-awaited showdown with Joshua.

‘Big Baby’ had hinted he could fight on the Fury vs Joshua undercard, which organisers have yet to announce.

Miller posted on Instagram: “ALWAYS GOOD VIBES being back in the gym and in camp with my brother @tysonfury as he gets ready for his BLOCKBUSTER FIGHT! 💪🏾💯

“I already know that main event is gonna be STRAIGHT FIREWORKS! 💥💥💥

“BUT HOLD UP… 👀😂 I heard that undercard looking WACK AS HELL! 🤣🤣

“Don’t be surprised if you see BIG BABY on there, because somebody gotta bring the HEAT and SPICE THAT SHIT UP! 🌶️🔥🥊

“And while we at it… I’M STILL THE #1 CONTENDER! WHERE THE HELL IS MY TITLE SHOT?! 🏆👑

“THE FANS WANT ACTION, NOT POLITICS! I’M READY FOR ALL THE SMOKE! 💨💯”

Despite Jarrell Miller suggesting he’d be open to fighting on the Fury vs Joshua undercard, his next fight will take place in Ghana on December 20.
