Jake Paul looks to take another step forward in his boxing career as he fights in Los Angeles June 28th.
In less than two weeks, Paul makes his return to the ring against former world champion Julio César Chávez Jr.
Paul spoke to Dazn Boxing ahead of his upcoming fight and mentioned how excited he is to be fighting in LA in two weeks.

Paul was asked why he took this fight and explained he had felt pressure from his audience to fight someone like Chávez Jr.
Despite lots of back-and-forth between the two in the run-up to fight night, Paul showed respect to his opponent and his accomplishments throughout his career.
Excited to fight a ‘legendary’ name – “Chávez”, Paul will be looking to make a big statement to push on later this year.
“I think this is a fight that the fans have been wanting, and that I’ve been wanting.
“It’s a really good test.
“He is super experienced, a former world champion.

“We’re both the same weight, same height, and he is a Chávez, one of the most legendary names in boxing.
“He has a great resume.
“We can talk sh*t but he’s a very formidable opponent.
“I want to challenge myself and give the fans a great fight.”
Immediately after showing respect to his opponent, Paul started to say how he truly felt about Chávez Jr.
He labelled the 39-year-old as a ‘fool’ and wasn’t impressed by his career so far.
Paul also touched on the work he has done to try to grow boxing and promote fellow fighters in comparison to Chávez Jr’s lack of it.

“He’s a fu**ing fool.
“To me, he has done nothing in this sport.
“He hasn’t helped any other fighters; he has no foundation.
“I don’t think he has always taken this sport seriously.
“I think he is taking this fight seriously and this training seriously, but that hasn’t been the story of his career.
“I’m gonna expose him for that.”
‘The Problem Child’ closed the interview by speaking on his trajectory and level in the sport, claiming he is the ‘King of Boxing’.
Paul has been linked with fights after Chávez, including Anthony Joshua, Canelo Alvarez and Gervonta Davis.

“I’m gonna show people that I am the king of boxing.
“I’m the one doing the biggest events, uplifting the fighters, putting on the biggest cards time and time again.”
