Boxing cult figure Renald Garrido (25-27-3) speaks exclusively to proboxing-fans.com ahead of his imposing duel with Russian, Eduard Troyanovsky on Siesta Boxing’s Kold Wars 2 in Minsk, Belarus.

‘Le Lion’ spoke with Adam Noble-Forcey regarding hanging up the lion costume, a rumoured retirement and what the future holds for the frenchman.

“At first I intended to stop boxing. It was 6 months where I did nothing, but when Albert (Siesta) offered me this fight, it motivated me! I have done 2 months hard preparation and I am re-motivated.”

Said the Frenchman regarding the news on his retirement.

As it happens Garrido will continue to fight on after his fight with the former Russian World champion.

“I have another fight planned in Marseille on March 16.”
