Travis Kauffman returns with big KO win, ready to move up the heavyweight rankings

This past Friday in Memphis, Heavyweight Travis “GW Hope” Kauffman returned to the ring with a second round destruction over Willie Perryman. Kauffman, 27 years old of Reading, PA dominated the first round and scored what looked like a knockdown in round one but somehow the referee ruled a low blow.

In round two, Kauffman landed a hard right that was followed by a left hook that sent Perryman for the count and the bout was ended at 2:28 of round two.

“I am happy to be back in the ring,” said Kauffman.

“It’s time to move on to bigger and better things. I am now 24-1 with 18 knockouts and I want to step it up behind me.  I have a great promotional team behind me in Greg Cohen Promotions and they will move me the right way.  I am now ranked number fourteen by the WBA so I am looking at (champion) Alexander Povetkin or someone of that caliber.”

“My fans want me to rematch Tony Grano and of course I would like to redeem myself.”

Said Kauffman’s father/trainer Marshall Kauffman, “It’s great to see Travis back in the ring.  It is time to move on to bigger and better opportunities.”
