Undefeated cruisers Steve Bujaj vs. Junior Wright clash on Thursday in Brooklyn

Thursday, May 15 Cruiserweight prospect Steve Bujaj (12-0, 9 KO’s) looks to remain undefeated when he takes on fellow undefeated Junior Wright (10-0, 9 KO’s) in a 10-round fight. The 23-year old native of Yonkers, New York has been training hard for the fight that could catapult him into title contention.

“I am just ready to fight. This is a big opportunity with a lot on the line and I am ready to take care of business,”said Bujaj.

When asked about his opponent, Bujaj is ready for anything. “I don’t know much about him, but I trained as this was a world title bout.”

Very rarely in boxing, two undefeated fighters meet each other so early in their careers but Bujaj is a throwback fighter willing to take on all comers.

“I am not like any other fighter out there. I am willing to risk it all and I don’t want to fight bums. I want to take chances and prove myself. After this, I wont be behind and ultimately I want to fight WBC champion Krzystolf Wlodarczyk for the WBC title.

“I am ready to put on a show Thursday night,”said Buaj.

“Training has been good,” said Wright, who is ready to trek to New York from his native Chicago.
He doesn’t seem to care what Bujaj has accomplished as he believes it is about what he brings to the ring.
“I do not study my opponents.  I have heard of him but I fight on instinct.”
Like Bujaj, Wright is not afraid to put it on the line against an undefeated opponent so early in his career.
“I am excited for this opportunity.  I did not think it would come this early but this is what we train for.  We do not want to wait to find out where we stand.  All I am going to say is be ready for a Hurricane this Thursday night in Brooklyn.”
