On February 9, 1991, WBC Super Welterweight champion Terry “Terrible” Norris retained his title by unanimous decision against boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard.

Showtime Boxing is showcasing the bout as part of its Legends Month in March, as part of its year long look back at its 30 year history of Showtime Championship Boxing. Right here, you can watch Round 7 of the Leonard vs. Norris fight from 1991.

In the 2nd round of the fight, Leonard went down, and he struggled to get much going in the early portions of the contest. By Round 7, Norris is using his jab to great effect. Then Norris sends Leonard down with a right hand that lands flush towards the end of the round.

Leonard is badly hurt from the shot and ends the round with his back against the ropes, trying to keep Norris off. For the legendary Leonard, his time as a premier fighter at the top of the sport was clearly done.
