In his return fight coming off his impressive KO victory over Heavyweight legend Wladimir Klitschko, which was arguably the fight of the year, on October 28th, Heavyweight Champion Anthony  Joshua is scheduled to defend his world title belts against mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

When tickets went on sale fans snapped up approximately 70,000 on the first day, according to Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn.

The 27-year-old Joshua will be making his fourth title defense and will be looking to continue his quest to be not only boxing’s top heavyweight but as boxing top attraction. Joshua is 19-0 with 19 KOs; he has a done great job, and is accurate with his power shots and will be looking for another impressive showing. Big money Heavyweight showdowns are on the horizon for Joshua with Deontay Wilder or Luis Ortiz (who face off November 4th).

The 36-year-old Pulev, while relatively unknown, has a record of 25 -1 with 13 KOs, and whilst he doesn’t have the power like Joshua, he does have good boxing skills and is able to control the distance with his jab. With a win, Pulev will instantly become a top attraction in the division.

Will Pulev be able to pull off the upset and derail future Heavyweight showdowns or will Joshua continue his dominance as the top star rising in the eyes of the public? The expected audience will be around 80,000 fans, all whom are expecting a showdown, the countdown to October 28th has begun!
