Conor Benn admits he would relish a third fight with Chris Eubank Jr ahead of his world title shot against Ryan Garcia.
Benn is set to challenge Garcia for the WBC welterweight world title on September 12 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
’The Destroyer’ will fight at 147 pounds for the first time in over four years with his most recent outing with Regis Prograis contested at 150 pounds.
Prior to fighting Prograis, the 29-year-old had two memorable battles with staunch rival Eubank Jr at 160 pounds, 35 years on from their fathers’ first meeting.
Benn gained revenge over the Brighton man last November, having lost their first bout by unanimous decision and the Essex man insists he would be open to setting their rivalry in a rubber match at super middleweight.
“I’m open for the trilogy,” he told SunSport.
“I would do the trilogy at 168. Of course I would.
“I’d fight him at 168.
“No excuses, no rehydration clause, none of that.
“I’d fight him at 168.”
Benn looks to become world champion for the first time against Garcia, but is a sizeable underdog with the bookmakers to dethrone the American.
‘King Ry’ will make a first defence of the title he claimed with a unanimous decision win over Mario Barrios in February.
Benn has confirmed the bout will be his final fight at 147 pounds, but ‘The Destroyer’ believes he will bow out of the division with an emphatic victory next month.
“I will make him quit,” he told Daily Mail Boxing.
“I’ve been up at middleweight.
“Mixing with someone who’s competed at super middleweight.
“You think I’m worried about what a lightweight can do to me?
“You think I’m concerned in the slightest?
