Tim Bradley believes Vergil Ortiz Jr is not Jaron Ennis’ hardest fight.
Ennis and Ortiz were close to sealing a mouthwatering showdown earlier this year, only for the bout to fall apart after the latter was embroiled in a legal situation with his promotional company Golden Boy.
‘Boots’ instead put in a scintillating performance to knock out Xander Zayas in seven rounds and capture the WBA and WBO super welterweight titles in Brooklyn last month.
Ortiz vowed to “sleep” the Philadelphia man after watching his performance, in which he overcame a huge scare in the third round.
“Yea I’m sleeping Jaron,” the 28-year-old posted on X.
“If I get him like that I promise you I get him out of there.”
Former two-weight world champion, Tim Bradley believes Ennis would deal with his compatriot in a similar vein to how he stopped Eimantas Stanionis last April.
“It’s going to be a Stanionis type of beatdown,” the 42-year-old said on his YouTube channel.
“You can go watch Stanionis and the way he fights and he comes forward and be aggressive and you can watch Vergil, how he comes forward and how be aggressive.
“Vergil’s a little bit more technical, however it’s still the same thing coming off the jab.
“You know the jab is coming first.
“Boots one of the best counter punchers in the game, that’s why Boots is so damn dangerous, because yeah he gets hit, but he’s still landing at the same damn time.”

Ennis is keen to become the undisputed super welterweight champion and will have to get past IBF titlist, Josh Kelly and WBC holder, Sebastian Fundora to achieve the feat.
Bradley insists the crafty Kelly poses a sterner test than Ortiz.
“I think Josh Kelly is a little more difficult fight than Vergil Ortiz,” he added.
“Styles make fights.
“He’s quick, he’s got good reflexes, he’s got some pop on his shots, he’s very deceiving and he’s got legs.
“He’s going to move around all night and Boots going to have to chase.
“Boots don’t like to chase, they like guys who stand in front of him.
“I think the fight will be a little more challenging just because of that aspect.
“I think Boots will eventually catch up with him.”
