Dubois vs Wardley results: Daniel Dubois emphatically retained his WBO heavyweight title at the O2 Arena in London, as he halted Fabio Wardley in two rounds in their rematch. Check out the Dubois vs Wardley report.

Their first contest was a thriller in Manchester in May, where Dubois got off the canvas twice to outlast Wardley in 11 rounds. Fans expected the rematch to be just as absorbing.

A massive right hand detonated for Dubois within the first 20 seconds, and a count was administered by the referee as Wardley’s knee touched the canvas.

Wardley looked shaken, and as a result, Dubois landed clubbing shots from either hand. Wardley was loading up too much and paying for it each time he did.

Another right hand buzzed the former champion towards the end of the opener, and Dubois went for broke. However, the bell came to the challenger’s rescue.

Dubois was simply too strong on this occasion, and Wardley was getting caught and hurt each time the champion connected.

The result came swiftly in round two, as a right uppercut followed by another Dubois barrage forcing the towel to come in as the referee was waving the contest off.

After the bout, Dubois went face-to-face with Filip Hrgovic in the ring. The Brit stopped the now-IBF champion in 2024.

Consequently, should a rematch materialise, it would be a unification.

O’Doherty-Gomez Jr draw, Olaniyan destroys Garber

Elsewhere on the Dubois vs Wardley results, Louie O’Doherty kept hold of his British and Commonwealth lightweight titles, but was held to a controversial majority draw with Michael Gomez Jr.

Gomez Jr appeared to have done enough to become the new champion. Despite winning on one judges’ scorecard, two scores of 114-114 ensured O’Doherty kept his crown.

One of the most dramatic Dubois vs Wardley results came from exciting heavyweight prospect Adam Olaniyan, who destroyed Dan Garber inside two rounds.

Olaniyan crumpled Garber to the canvas with a heavy right hand. The towel came in from Garber’s corner, but referee Amy Pu allowed it to continue.

The Irishman landed another brutal shot which saw Garber’s corner once again throw in the towel. After ignoring his corner again, referee Pu finally waved off the bout.
