Daniel Dubois claims Fabio Wardley has “no power” as the pair gear up for Saturday’s eagerly-anticipated Dubois vs Wardley rematch.
Dubois defends his WBO heavyweight world title against Wardley at the O2 Arena in London, live on DAZN pay-per-view.
In their first meeting five months ago, Dubois survived a disastrous first round. The Londoner went down twice, but roared back to overwhelm Wardley and stop him in the 11th round.
Despite hitting the deck twice, the 29-year-old has dismissed his rival’s punching ability ahead of the Dubois vs Wardley rematch.
“I will beat him up easier,” he told Ring Magazine.

“He ain’t got no power, so I’ll just break him down easier.
“He punches like a baby. I’m his daddy and I’m going to beat him like I’m his daddy.”
Wardley responds
Dubois handed Wardley his first professional defeat and took his WBO title.
The Ipswich man has hit back at Dubois’ claims, insisting he previously described him as the hardest puncher he’s faced.
“He needs to pay attention to what he says, because he did an interview the other day where he admitted I was the hardest puncher I’ve ever been in the ring with,” he said in response to Ring Magazine.

“So, I think maybe he needs to just remember there is a camera in his face and the research can be done and picked back up on what you said.
“We all know and saw what happened.
“Like I said, I didn’t fully connect and he hit the ground twice.
“It’s a lot of waffle.”

Dubois vs Wardley rematch
After dramatically stopping his rival in May, Dubois is the bookies’ favourite to secure a second victory in the Dubois vs Wardley rematch.
Many have questioned whether Wardley had had enough time to recover from a bruising first meeting.
In addition to this, Dubois appeared to take his best shots and came back to win by stoppage.
Therefore, questions remain if the former champion is capable of keeping Dubois down when he has him hurt and thus emulate Oleksandr Usyk and Joe Joyce.
