Erislandy Lara Scores Big Early KO, Prospects Gomez, Caballero & Samir Keep on Winning

Along with Ten-Time World Champion in six weight divisions and Future Hall of Famer Oscar de la Hoya and highly-rated contender and former U.S. Olympian Vicente Escobedo, Palm Springs area fight fans flocked to Fantasy Springs Resort Casino for Friday’s “Sólo Boxeo Tecate” event for the action-packed, six-bout card presented by Golden Boy Promotions.  If you missed the live action or televised broadcast, below is a summary of the results:

Of course, the biggest result of the night was from the main event of the evening, featuring super-hot junior middleweight prospect Erislandy Lara. Lara scored a resounding 1st round knockout in the main event, continuing to build up his name and his standing in the division.

Prospect Frankie Gomez was unable to put away his opponent within the distance, and neither was prospect Randy Caballero. However, Bastie Samir kept his knockout streak moving along, scoring a first round KO win for himself.
