Jason Moloney ended 2020 with a defeat to Naoya Inoue but plans to end 2021 with world titles around his waist.

Aussie twin, Jason has set his sights on John Riel Casimero and Nordine Oubaali and hasn’t ruled out a rematch with the Japanese ‘Monster’ as he plans on fighting the best to become the best.

“As a fighter, yeah [I’d rematch Inoue], I’d love that. I don’t think it’s likely, you never say never. Because it wasn’t a real close fight it probably doesn’t beg for a rematch for most people.

“Down the line if I can get myself back into that position and pick up a couple of belts and have something to attract him I’d love the rematch.

“I just love a challenge!” Moloney told proboxing-fans.com

In an ideal world Moloney does not want nor feel he needs to go through a rebuild process. A world title on the horizon would be what Jason would prefer.

“I want to fight for a world title again as soon as possible.

“After my fight with Inoue we went into the Top Rank office and I spoke with Bob Arum before I flew back to Australia and they had big plans.

“They asked me who I wanted to fight next and I said, ‘Casimero or Oubaali, that’s my preference!

“If I’ve got to rebuild and get a couple of wins on the board or get myself higher up the ratings again before those fights are possible then obviously I’m willing to do that.

“I’m willing to fight anyone in the division but my goal is to become world champion and I want to do that as soon as possible so whatever it takes!”

Jason Moloney went on to discuss his brother, Andrew’s trilogy fight with Joshua Franco potentially being staged in Australia with the possibility of Teofimo Lopez headlining against George Kambosos Jr.

Moloney also picks the fights he wants to see in 2021!
