With the all-consuming Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao event now officially in the rear view mirror, it’s time to look ahead at what’s next. There’s been a load of fight announcements made, including plenty of big names, such as Deontay Wilder, Adrien Broner, Robert Guerrero, and Timothy Bradley. Right here, check out all of the latest details on upcoming fights over the next few months, and some of the recent additions to the calendar.

Be sure to check out the full boxing schedule here, which also includes the fights and events which we’ve already known about, including Canelo Alvarez vs. James Kirkland this weekend, James DeGale vs. Andre Dirrell, Miguel Cotto vs. Daniel Geale in June, and all the rest.

Timothy Bradley will return on June 27, squaring off against Jessie Vargas at the Stubhub Center in Carson, CA. The fight will be televised on HBO.

No official announcement has been made yet, so it’s unclear whether the unbeaten Vargas will be defending his junior welterweight title, with Bradley coming back down in weight, or if Vargas is moving up to 147 lbs and looking to get in the mix there. Intriguing clash, and by far the biggest test of Vargas’ career.

Moving onto some news from the Premier Boxing Champions family, there are three June cards in the works. We have an idea of the big names involved, but none of the opponents or details have been finalized at this point.

  • First, on June 6, Robert Guerrero looks to get back on track after his loss to Keith Thurman. The event could possibly be held in Chicago.
  • The next week, June 13, Deontay Wilder returns home to Alabama to make a defense of his strap. Looks like he’s going to be in with a soft touch in this fight.
  • And the week after that, June 20, Adrien Broner also heads home to Cincinnati. No opponent has been set there, either.

In other news, Alexander Povetkin takes on Mike Perez in Moscow on May 22. The fight is technically a WBC heavyweight eliminator, which would put the winner in line to face Wilder… In Montreal on June 19, Hassan N’Dam takes on David Lemieux for a vacant middleweight title strap.
