Good news everybody, it’s rankings updates day! It’s one of our favorite days after a big round of action in the sport, and we saw plenty of meaningful bouts over the past weekend. After the Bernard Hopkins vs. Beibut Shumenov fight, the Shawn Porter vs. Paulie Malignaggi fight, and more, we’ve updated a handful of our top 10 divisional rankings. Take a look.
Plus, it’s still only been two weeks since the Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley rematch. So the welterweight division needs a lot of updating. We have to account for Shawn Porter’s rise, the possible retirement of Malignaggi, and the reordering of the top of the depth chart with Pacquiao’s vengeance against Bradley. As for Porter, if you weren’t a believer before, you certainly should be now!
At middleweight Peter Quillin keeps on winning, but not necessarily looking overly impressive against opponents whom aren’t exactly at the upper echelon.
Bernard Hopkins continues to prove he’s not just ageless, but entirely unique and special. History in the making each and every time he steps through the ropes.
Enjoy all of our updated top 10 divisional rankings, and be sure to chime in with your own thoughts and comments below!
