Chris Eubank Jr and Kell Brook have clashed over the years, yet a fight has never materialised. Ben Shalom has discussed how he’d view a rumoured bout between the pair playing out.
Shalom is Eubank Jr’s promoter and admitted a fight with a returning Brook is possible.
Following his iconic win over Amir Khan at the AO Arena back in 2022, ‘The Special One’ hung up his gloves but has since flirted with a return to the squared circle.
The win over Khan came over a year on from his previous outing against Terence Crawford, who stopped him in the fourth round.

Brook retired as one of Britain’s most skilled fighters and, in some eyes, could have achieved even more than he did during his 43-fight career.
One name he’s being linked with is Eubank Jr, who has been promoted by Shalom in his last few fights. BOXXER’s man spoke to talkSPORT about the potential bout.
“Sometimes you have fighters where one is past it and one is not, based on Chris’ last performance and based on how good Kell looked I think there are certain fights where no-one could call it.
“When they know what it is there is still a place for those guys, at least they’re not pretending it is for a world title, that’s where it’s different.”

‘Next Gen’ was last in action in November when he was dominated by Conor Benn in their rematch, with ‘The Destroyer’ winning almost every round in many people’s eyes and dropping the 36-year-old twice.
Despite the one-sided loss, Eubank confirmed he still sees a future in the sport. Shalom has often touched on a major pay-per-view that BOXXER will promote towards the latter stages of the year, and this could be just that.
“It’s a 50/50 fight.
“It doesn’t affect the sporting eco system.
“No-one is saying it’s going to be a world title fight, it’s not but it’s two massive names.”
Both of Eubank and Benn’s fights were among the most-watched contests throughout 2025, so a fight with one of Britain’s most recognisable fighters in Brook would likely generate plenty of interest.

Shalom likened the situation to where Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are in their careers ahead of their respective fights in November.
Also speaking to talkSPORT, advisor Sam Jones confirmed he’d love to watch a fight between Brook and Eubank Jr this year.
“We are all going to watch it, I would like to hear ‘All of the Lights’ again as a fanboy, it would a great night.”
