Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora don’t mince their words. With a rematch planned for this summer, and the two fighters sharing a February bill to help lead to that fight, there’s already been plenty of back and forth between the fighters and the camps.
At a recent press conference to promote the twin-bill, Fury and Chisora not only talked about this fight, but the Fury vs. Chisora rematch. And there were plenty of choice words all around. As usual, Fury also went on to talk about all types of issues, including Vitali Klitschko.
Good riddance to Vitali, the grandpa robot was never any good and wouldn’t fight real opposition.
On Vitali Klitschko, Fury said:
“He retired because he knew I was coming for him.”
More Tyson Fury Quotes:
“The division has been wide open for a long time, but there just hasn’t been anybody to go and smash those titles from the Klitschkos.
“I just cant wait to have these couple of fights, the rematch with Chisora and then take Wlad’s head off.
“I have been hunting Wlad down for a good three years and I am getting no further forward, but now it looks like I will have the final eliminator.
“I see a lot of improvement in Dereck. He is a lot fitter, stronger and better than when he boxed in 2011 and our rematch will be one of the great British heavyweight fights.”
Fury is also supporting David Price and his comeback.
Fury outpointed Chisora when they met at Wembley Arena in a British and Commonwealth title contest in July 2011. If both triumph next month they will share top billing again on an April card ahead of a summer showdown at West Ham’s Upton Park.
