Callum Simpson and Troy Williamson delivered another instant classic at First Direct Arena in Leeds.
Simpson that emerged victorious this time around, after he was stopped by Williamson in December.
The win steered the Barnsley-born fighter towards taking the British and Commonwealth super middleweight titles with a bruising points win over twelve absorbing rounds.
Williamson (22-5-1, KO16) had won the pairs original meeting last December, when he floored Simpson four times before ending matters in the tenth, but Simpson (19-1, KO13) wouldn’t be denied this time around as he avenged the sole loss on his record.

Williamson began sharply, a couple of right hands finding the target in the opening round, and although he found body shots in the second, Simpson responded with several eye-catching blows to the head.
Round three saw Simpson make a breakthrough, as his pressure told, a right uppercut hurting Williamson, and he did well not to seek refuge on the canvas.

The next few rounds saw Simpson execute a plan brilliantly, buzzing around Williamson and landing shots before staying out of trouble, and he dominated the seventh, hurting Williamson again as he struggled to deal with Simpson’s pressure.
Williamson found a left hand in the eighth as Simpson began to slow, and a cracking left hook jolted the legs of Simpson in the ninth.
Simpson learned from the first fight though, and went back to basics in rounds ten and eleven, working well behind the jab, and although the final round was a barnburner, it looked as though Simpson had done enough to get his hand raised and to get the belts, as the last bell sounded.

Scores of 117-112, 116-112 and 115-113 ensured Simpson gained revenge.

Gradus Kraus vs Sean Hemphill
