Abraham and Dirrell Square off at a Red Wings Game But Don’t Toss Their Gloves and Get to Action!

During the first intermission of the Detroit Red Wings 4-2 win over St. Louis on Wednesday night, boxers Andre Dirrell, and Arthur Abraham were introduced to promote their Super Six World Boxing Classic matchup on Saturday at Joe Louis Arena. The hometown favorite Dirrell from Flint, Mich., got the louder ovation.

The undefeated Armenian Abraham (31-0, 25 KOs) will take on Dirrell (18-1, 13 KOs) this Saturday live on SHOWTIME at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT The pair, decked out in Red Wings jerseys, posed for photos like these – with Red Wings in-game announcer Christy Lee – for fans before the game.
