Saturday, June 21 6 p.m. Irish Cultural Centre

Saturday, July 26 5 p.m. Club Royale Boston

“During the past two years of operations,” Big Six Entertainment president Artie DePinho said, “Big Six Entertainment established itself as one of the leading boxing promotions companies in New England. We brought competitive, entertaining clubs shows back to New England. Young professional boxers have an opportunity to fight and develop, veterans are able to stay active without signing restrictive promotional contracts, and local boxing fans get to follow their favorite fighters on a regular basis.

“We’re grateful for having two great homes in Massachusetts: Club Royale in Boston’s popular downtown theater district and outdoors under a large tent, located halfway between two boxing hot-beds like Boston and Providence, at the Irish Cultural Centre. Our attendance increased show-by-show and we are confident that trend will continue in 2014. Young and old alike seem to appreciate our early start times at both venues.

“In our first event of the year (Mar. 15), we will be capitalizing on St. Patrick’s Day weekend. The main event will showcase a 10-round bout for an Irish junior middleweight title when Lee Murtagh squares off against Michael McLaughlin. Big Six Entertainment would like to thank the Massachusetts Athletic Commission for its cooperation, professionalism and our licensing approval. We are also in discussions to promote shows at other venues throughout New England to expand our fan-base for continued growth in 2014.”
