Tyson Fury hinted his long-awaited bout with Anthony Joshua is on the brink of being confirmed.
Fury and Joshua have signed to finally deliver their monster heavyweight showdown, but disagreements over where the fight is staged is seemingly causing a hold-up.
‘AJ’ has apparently signed to fight his rival in the UK, but Saudi Arabian boxing chief, Turki Alalshikh and streaming giant Netflix are pushing for it to be held in the USA.
Madison Square Garden in New York has emerged as the frontrunner to hold the all-British clash and Fury suggested the bout is on the verge of being announced.
“Everything’s going well,” the 38-year-old said in a video posted on social media.

“I got some big news, going to be dropped very soon.
“All is good in the hood – big fight on the horizon.
“It’s the one you’ve all been waiting for, about to be announced imminently, so stay tuned.”
During Monday’s WWE Raw, Netflix ran a promo for the fight, alongside the caption: “Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua, Coming Soon.”
The rumoured date for the fight is November 20 at MSG, the site of Joshua’s shock defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr in 2019.

The 36-year-old’s promoter, Eddie Hearn insisted last week no agreement had been struck to stage it abroad.
“There might even be a situation where they go for it and announce it,” the 47-year-old said on The Punch Podcast.
“You’ll probably see me coming out quite quickly and saying, ‘no fight’.
“Because I promise you, if they announce that fight without an agreement in place to change the venue, there will be no fight and we ain’t bluffing.

“We feel really strongly that this fight should be in the UK.
“I’ve also said many times I want it to work for everybody.
“[Saudi Arabian boxing chief] Turki Alalshikh is spending a lot of money on this fight.”

‘AJ’ was last in action in July, climbing off the canvas to knock out unknown Albanian, Kristian Prenga in the second round in Saudi Arabia.
A day earlier, Fury saw off Mariusz Wach in seven rounds in Thailand.
