The weigh-in for tomorrow’s Friday Night Fights card at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, NY was held this afternoon, and there’s been a snag. Hank Lundy, returning on just 5 weeks notice while dropping back down to lightweight, was unable to make weight.

As such, his fight with Petr Petrov has been cancelled. The rest of the card, headlined by Willie Monroe Jr. vs. Bryan Vera will go on as planned.

Check out the full weigh-in results here.

Willie Monroe Jr. 160 – Bryan Vera 160

Petr Petrov 133 1/2 – Hank Lundy 139
*** Fight off due to Lundy being 4 lbs. overweight

While fans miss out on this fight, it’s good that either Petrov’s team or somebody stepped in and said they weren’t simply going to take a payoff and go ahead with the fight. If you can’t make weight, and by this egregious a margin, you shouldn’t be fighting and getting that kind of advantage over your opponents.

Greg Jackson 145 1/2 – Cornelius Whitlock 145

Brandon Adams 160 – Lekan Byfield 158

Vitor Jones De Oliveira 132 – Michael Doyle 126

Taras Shelestyuk 148 – Antonio Chaves Fernandez 146

Borngod Washington 172 – Cameron Allen 172

The card is promoted by Banner Promotions. The 1st bell is at 7pm, and the ESPN2 televised portion of the card starts at 9pm.
