Mayweather vs. Guerrero shown on MGM closed circuit, tickets on sale today

It’s about to get a lot easier for boxing fans in Sin City to catch one of the year’s biggest nights of boxing during Cinco de Mayo weekend.

Mayweather Promotions, Golden Boy Promotions and MGM Resorts International announced that five MGM Resorts properties will host live closed circuit telecasts of “MAY DAY: Mayweather vs. Guerrero, the Saturday, May 4 mega-fight between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

So, now you can either attend the fight in person, watch it in on the big screen in hundreds of movie theaters around the country, or catch it at home via Showtime pay-per-view. In other words, if you miss the fight, what’s your excuse?

General admission tickets for the closed circuit telecasts are priced at $50 and go on sale today, Wednesday, April 3, at 10:00 a.m. PT at each individual property’s box office outlets and will also be available for purchase by phone with a major credit card at 866-799-7711.  Tickets also are available online at www.ticketmaster.com.

It’s all part of the ongoing, non-stop promotional push that Showtime, Golden Boy and everyone else is putting into this fight. We’re still a month out, so hopefully you’re not sick of it yet — plenty more to come on this front in the next few weeks, that’s for sure.
