Path to Glory weigh-in: Jose Roman-Hector Velazquez, Danny Roman, Taras Shelestyuk

Lightweight champion Jose Roman (17-1-1, 12 KOs) of Garden Grove, Calif. goes up against veteran Hector Velazquez (56-22-3, 38 KOs) of Tijuana, Mex. in the 8-round “Path to Glory” main event. Roman-Velazquez is part of a seven-bout fight card promoted by Thompson Boxing Promotions and is set for Friday, Sept. 26, from the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, Calif. The weigh-in for the card was held on Thursday afternoon, and you can find the official weights, the full fight list, and photos and videos of the weigh-in here.

General admission tickets for “Path to Glory” are available at $40. Boxing fans can purchase day of at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, Calif.

If you’re familiar with the name Taras Shelestyuk, it’s because he was a 2012 Olympic bronze medal winner. Shelestyuk (8-0, 6 KO’s) of Sumy, Ukraine has won his last three bouts by stoppage.  In his last two bouts, he has finished off his opponent in the 1st round.
