It was a busy, and controversial, weekend of boxing, as Chad Dawson won the light heavyweight championship of the world in his fight against Bernard Hopkins, “defeating him by 2nd round TKO”… or something like that. The more definitive results were in the lower weight classes, where Antonio DeMarco defeated Jorge Linares and Danny Garcia defeated Kendall Holt. With all of those recent fights, and more, we’ve gone back to our rankings and made some updates. Check out the updated top 10s in several prominent divisions in the sport.

—-> Updated lightweight division rankings

As mentioned above, all three of these weight classes have had some major fights take place recently. And there were more big names and big matches in their divisions since the last time we’ve made updates. At light heavyweight, Nathan Cleverly has continued his winning ways, while at junior welterweight, Erik Morales captured a vacant title in an exciting match, and much more.

In all cases, the results for the match speak for themselves… except for with the controversial Hopkins vs. Dawson results of course. So sorting through the top 10 in that division is a bit hairy, particularly considering that there’s a petition underway to get the call overturned and the fight changed to a no contest. In any event, check out our updated boxing weight class rankings above and enjoy.
