Jorge Linares defeated Luke Campbell by split decision to retain the WBA Lightweight title, in California. Campbell stepped into the ring for his first title fight and though defeated, proved it wont be long before a belt is around his waist. Olympic Gold Medal hero Luke Campbell MBE, current WBC Silver title holder, takes on Colombian Darleys Perez in an Eliminator on the 29th April 2017 at Wembley Stadium for a chance at the WBA Lightweight title.
