Rolly Romero defends his WBA welterweight world title against two-weight world champion, Teofimo Lopez in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Romero (17-2, 13 KOs) clashes with Lopez (22-2, 13 KOs) at the T-Mobile Arena.
Romero produced a career-best performance to capture the WBA ‘regular’ belt at Times Square last May, dropping Ryan Garcia in the second round, before seeing off his compatriot with a comprehensive points win.
The Las Vegas man, who previously held the WBA belt at 140 pounds, recorded a second straight victory since defeat to Isaac Cruz in 2024 and was elevated to WBA ’super’ welterweight titlist in May.

Lopez, a former champion at lightweight and super lightweight, campaigns for the first time at 147 pounds.
‘The Takeover’ shipped his WBO super lightweight title after three defences in a unanimous decision reverse to Shakur Stevenson in January.
The 29-year-old suffered the second defeat of his professional career and had been unbeaten since a shock loss to George Kambosos Jr in 2021.
