Yesterday afternoon in Los Angeles was a special get together and fighter event for the Star Power PPV, with all eight fighters in attendance at the same place and same time. It was special because this is the only opportunity prior to the fight where everybody was going to be there at once. This is due in part to the Saul Alvarez vs. Alfonso Gomez fight taking place from Los Angeles, CA, while the rest of the PPV fights, including Floyd Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz, are taking place in Las Vegas. As you can see, all of the fighters look to be ready to go and in good, fighting shape. The four fights for the Star Power PPV are, Jessie Vargas vs. Josesito Lopez, Erik Morales vs. Pablo Cesar Cano, Saul Alvarez vs. Alfonso Gomez and Floyd Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz.
The above event was also a fan really and was open to the public, so local fans got a chance to see all of the action for themselves. Yesterday, Mayweather also appeared on Conan to help promote the bout as well, and he talked about everything from his large house to facing Manny Pacquiao, (or facing Conan O’Brien), to Victor Ortiz being a big Harry Potter fan… like his young children are. It was a funny appearance.
