Carl Froch is never one to hold back with his opinions, and this week he has blasted Jake Paul over his recently announced fight with Mike Tyson.

The boxing world went into a state of shock when it was announced that Paul and Tyson will lock horns in Texas on July 20th, and a seething Froch has weighed in with his two cents.

The bout has received widespread criticism online, due to the fact ‘Iron Mike’ is approaching 60 years of age and many believe he has no business stepping into the ring with a man over thirty years his junior.

Speaking on his YouTube channel Froch on Fighting, ‘The Cobra’ stated he was “disgusted” by the fight and said Paul is simply a “bully” for targeting Tyson.

“As soon as I heard about it, I just thought, ‘this cannot be happening.’

“You can’t be putting a guy in his mid-20s with a guy who’s approaching 60 years of age.

“Mike Tyson’s had some wear and tear in his career, he’s smoking quite a bit of weed these days and I’m sure he’s got a walking stick!

“You all know ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson. He’s an icon in the professional boxing world – Jake Paul isn’t even a professional boxer!

“When I heard this fight was happening, I was absolutely disgusted. I think it’s so bad for boxing.

“This is just a young kid being a bully. What is he getting out of fighting Mike Tyson?

“He’s not a professional boxer Jake Paul, and he never will be. Because he’s f***ing crap! He’s useless, he’s just a bully.”

Whilst Paul vs Tyson has been polarising to say the least, it is expected to be one of the most viewed boxing events of 2024, thanks in no small part to being broadcast on streaming giant Netflix.

The brash YouTuber’s last two bouts, consecutive first round victories over Andre August and Ryan Bourland, have been low-key affairs by his grandiose standards.
