Whatever doubts there were after Andre Ward was given a highly controversial unanimous decision, along with three light heavyweight title belts following his November fight against Sergey Kovalev, there were none remaining after Saturday night. There’s an old saying that “sometimes it’s so nice, you want to see it twice”, that saying rings true for this weekend’s matchup in the Light Heavyweight Division, with the rematch between Sergey Kovalev vs Andre Ward. Artur Beterbiev faces Sullivan Barrera April 21 in Miami

It’s official: Montreal’s Artur Beterbiev (IBF #2 – 11-0-0, 11 KOs) will be in the most important fight of his career, against Cuban-born Sullivan Barrera (IBF #7 – 18-1-0, 13 KOs), for the mandatory challenger position for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) light heayvweight world title, held by American Andre Ward (31-0-0, 15 KOs). Olympic silver medalist Shakur Stevenson signs with Top Rank

Top Rank and Antonio Leonard Productions announced its latest signing and it’s a sterling one — 2016 U.S. Olympic silver medalist Shakur Stevenson. Stevenson, 19, from Newark, NJ, sailed though every stage of his Olympic competition in Rio De Janeiro last summer before losing a close split decision in the bantamweight championship fight to 2012 flyweight Olympic gold medalist Robeisy Ramirez of Cuba.
