We have been blessed with such a strong ending to the boxing year’s schedule, that we had to go back to the top 20 pound for pound boxing list and rearrange a few things. The last week alone saw more than a handful of important fights on the docket, with surprise underdog wins, dominant performances by top fighters, and more. We saw Carl Froch pull off an upset win over Arthur Abraham, reasserting himself as one of the best fighters in the world, when everybody was ready to put him into the cellar of the Super Six. It was a great performance, and just when he needed it. Meanwhile, Super Six counterpart Andre Ward continued to look like a dominant champion, handling Sakio Bika with ease, and with some toughness and grit.

We also saw Juan Manuel Marquez continue his legendary career with a potential Fight of the Year style win over Michael Katsidis. There’s no slow down in that old dog, and he keeps on reeling out the big wins.

Finally, Celestino Caballero let down the world by losing a tough fight against Jason Litzau. Did he climb too many weight classes, overlook his man, or simply lose to a game opponent? Time will have to tell.
